A little about who we are and why this blog exists.
My Story
Hello, and welcome!
I’m so glad you found your way here. My name is Dr Messum Raza Alvi PT, and I’m a licensed physical therapist based in Pakistan. This blog was born out of something I see every single day in my practice – people who have been living with pain, limited movement, or a physical condition for months, sometimes years, without knowing that effective, non-surgical help exists.
This is my small attempt to change that, one article at a time.
Why this blog matters – especially in Pakistan
Physical therapy is one of the most underutilized yet powerful fields of medicine in our country. Many people reach for painkillers, rest, or even surgery before exploring physiotherapy – not because they don’t want to, but because they simply don’t know it’s an option, or don’t fully understand what it can do for them.
Whether you’re dealing with back pain from long hours at a desk, recovering from a sports injury, rehabbing after surgery, or managing a chronic condition, there is likely a structured, evidence-based physical therapy approach that can help you heal faster, move better, and live with less pain.

A note from me
I write this blog as a friend who happens to be a physiotherapist – someone who genuinely wants you to understand your body, ask the right questions, and seek care before a small problem becomes a big one. My goal is not to replace your doctor or therapist, but to empower you with knowledge so you can take that first step with confidence.
Thank you for being here. Let’s heal Pakistan, together.
